Loading A 9mm Glock - When you buy your first semi-automatic handgun, the knowledge you need to use it wisely and effectively is rarely included with the gun. Taking the time to run a gun is a worthwhile investment. This can take the form of mentoring from a more experienced friend, a training class with a professor, or perhaps you can decide to work through some of the information on your own.
Do you know how to use your new gun? Thinking of buying one but want to learn more?
Loading A 9mm Glock
The purpose of this post and video is to give you a solid process for operating your new semi-automatic handgun. It is not intended to replace the process. If you are new to semi-automatic handguns, such as the Springfield Armory Hellcat, this will get you started in the right direction.
How To Load A Pistol Magazine
Pick up a point or two that you haven't thought of before. The post also gives you a resource you can share with friends and family who are new gun owners.
When determining the location of a semi-automatic pistol such as the Hellcat, it is important to ensure that there is no ammunition in the chamber by visual and physical inspection.
Every time you pick up a gun, the first thing you should do is determine if the gun is loaded or unloaded. I call this process a "situation check" of the handgun.
When a handgun is loaded, we know it is ready to fire. If we do not put down the handgun on the other hand, we can continue to perform administrative tasks such as cleaning, adding accessories or storing the gun reasonably.

Moving the slide scoops a round from above the magazine that has been pressed into the chamber to complete the loading process.
Some good points that I think are important: We want this verification to work, even if we are in a situation where there is not enough light to see if the gun is loaded or not. That's why we do a good search of the chamber and magazine for the weapon or where the weapon came from like the magazine.
We also want to do several checks to make sure the gun is unlocked. When I check the status of my guns I check once, remove myself from work and then check a second time. The distraction is an opportunity to get a new test of the gun. Ideally, after my two studies are complete I will have an experienced friend repeat the process.
The second step in discharging a semi-automatic handgun is to move the slide to remove the round from the chamber.

Loading a semi-automatic handgun is a simple process; however, order is important. First, insert the newspaper into the newspaper well. Make sure the bronze colored bullets are facing forward. Then, hold the slide, behind the ejection port with your support hand. The most powerful way is to hold the slide as if your hand were a saddle on the horse's back. Pull it back firmly and let the slide move forward under its own power.
Understand that if you get the order back you have an unloaded gun. So be sure to insert the magazine first and then move the slide.

Just like your Hellcat pickup, the order is important when loading. You MUST remove the magazine from the gun first. He then moves the slide fully to the rear several times to make sure the chamber (where the round fits in the barrel) is clear. Then, lock the slide to the rear and check the position of the handgun.

Remember whether you are loading or unloading your handgun. The steps must occur in order. First look with the magazine, then move the slide.
When loading a semi-auto, make sure you drop the magazine FIRST! This ensures that you don't backtrack when you mount the slide.
Semi-automatic handguns are easy to operate, but it would be wrong to ignore the difficulties new gun owners face when learning about semi-automatic handguns. I encourage you to use the above information as a starting point and also to seek professional guidance.

I want to help those who struggle with filling out their journals, by compiling as little as possible and with tools that make the job easier.
It's probably best to start with the right words. Newspapers are different from clippings. A magazine connects individual rounds in a tube and feeds them automatically by spring tension. On the other hand, clips hold several rounds together as a unit, and the unit is fed into the gun by hand. Pistols use magazines, and some handguns like revolvers use clips. Most rifles, like your AR15, use magazines, and some use clips, like the M-1 and Mauser.
Question: Is The 4th Generation Glock 19 The Best 9mm On The Market?
Some useful magazine names are worth mentioning. For example, the magazine follower is a plate insert that is pushed up by a spring in the magazine. you can see the fan at the top of the magazine when it is empty. The feed tabs are tabs on either side of the magazine opening. Damage to the alimentary canal almost always causes nutritional problems.
And let's talk about double stack vs single stack newsletters. As the name implies, a stack magazine holds rounds in a vertical column in the tube. Two stacks, cartridges that make two columns.
With this clear Glock27 magazine from ETS, you can see how the cartridges are fired inside the double stack magazine.
Make sure you have the right weapon. I've seen improper ammo accidentally loaded into a magazine, and that's probably more common than one. Next, read the front of the magazine. The magazine feed lip points to the back of the magazine (see illustration).
The Amend2 Glock Magazine: A New Contender
When loading the first round, keep the round aligned with the magazine follower. Click back to the next step. Lower the fan so the cartridge can slide completely into the magazine. For all subsequent rounds, use the thumb of the hand holding the magazine to press down on the top card in the magazine. While pushing down with your thumb, use the back part of the next round to push down on the card above. As soon as the round goes far enough, sit by sliding back.
If you have a semi-automatic .22LR, you probably have a tab on the side of your magazine. The procedure for filling out these journals is largely the same. The difference is that the tab allows you to pull the fan down so you don't have to push the card for each round.
As the magazine fills, the spring decreases and filling more rounds becomes more difficult. New magazine springs are difficult, especially for small guns like the MP&P Shield, Beretta Bodyguard, and Ruger LCP. Don't worry, over time the springs will sink, and over time, your hand will become stronger and harder.
For those who have a problem, or an injury that limits their ability to carry their magazines, there are nice tools that can help. If you are filling hundreds of rounds at a range, these tools will also save your toes from blisters. I will cover these in a moment.
Glock 19 Gen 4 Review
I recommend filling your journals to capacity. Some say this could cause feeding problems. I've never had a problem where a fully loaded magazine doesn't feed properly. If you experience this, it may be a problem with the magazine. Some magazines have evidence holes on the back, which allow you to see how many rounds are inside.
With my everyday carry (EDC) pistol I fill my magazine to capacity, round, and then load the magazine with an extra round. This increases my energy
